I attended the celebration last Thursday. I was honoured to celebrate this=
 important day together with the Consul General of Peru in Hong Kong=2C En=
rique Carlos Cardenas Arestegui=2C and the Financial Secretary of the HKSA=
R=2C Paul Chan (my long-time friend).

Hong Kong has just concluded a Free Trade Agreement with Peru.

Hong Kong has so far signed eight FTAs with 20 economies=2C including the=
 Mainland of China=2C New Zealand=2C the member states of the European Fre=
e Trade Association (i.e. Iceland=2C Liechtenstein=2C Norway and Switzerla=
nd)=2C Chile=2C Macao=2C the member states of the Association of Southeast=
 Asian Nations (i.e. Brunei Darussalam=2C Cambodia=2C Indonesia=2C Laos=2C=
 Malaysia=2C Myanmar=2C the Philippines=2C Singapore=2C Thailand and Viet=
 Nam)=2C Georgia and Australia. All FTAs have entered into force.

And so we have FTA with Chile and Peru =E2=80=A6 good for our Latin Depart=
ment business.
