In the auspicious Year of the Dragon=2C China will breathe new life into i=
ts economy. As the majestic dragon awakens from its gentle slumber=2C Chin=
a is ready to take on the task of rejuvenating its economy.

We are currently witnessing a significant transformation in the world=E2=
=80=99s economic powerhouse. China=E2=80=99s economy is undergoing a profo=
und shift in its trajectory. The focus is now on steering towards sustaine=
d high-quality growth driven by consumption and technology. This move mark=
s a departure from reliance on the traditional engine of growth propelled=
 by fixed asset investments.

Last year=2C the world=E2=80=99s second-largest economy managed to surpass=
 its growth target of 5%=2C with a year-on-year expansion of 5.2% to the t=
une of RMB 91.3 trillion. Thanks to a stronger-than-anticipated performanc=
e in 2023=2C the International Monetary Fund has revised upwards China=E2=
=80=99s projected GDP growth for 2024 from 4.2% to 4.6%.

On the consumer-spending front=2C China=E2=80=99s services sector is showi=
ng early signs of recovery. In 2024=2C China is poised to advance its cons=
umer narrative. In addition to skilfully navigating evolving consumer pref=
erences and demographic shifts=2C it will step up its efforts to rekindle=
 the subdued consumer sentiment.

The different initiatives set for launch this year have a distinctly scien=
tific and technological flavour. China=E2=80=99s ambition to lead in cutti=
ng-edge fields reflects an ongoing shift towards fostering new productive=
 capabilities.

Driving into the future=2C China will continue to shed its previous role a=
s a behind-the-scenes producer and emerge as a high-tech creator.

About new markets : Australia is one where I have not touched a lot before=
 and I will put more efforts in there.
