Never before in my life have I seen a challenge so long and lasting =E2=80=
=93 Covid-19. It really hurts.
Well=2C in recent months=2C we have seen consumers=E2=80=99 switch from ph=
ysical retail towards e-commerce.  Many services or products can be got on=
line now.  The pandemic will surely mark a turning point in the world=E2=
=80=99s economy =E2=80=A6 marching towards Digital Economy.  Digital Econo=
my is leading me to think of digitization.  I would like to share somethin=
g with you in this regard =E2=80=A6

1. Digital banking

HSBC is providing digital banking to clients now.  The new banking interfa=
ce has a fresh design and enables easier navigation.  I will introduce thi=
s to some of our potential new clients who cannot travel to Hong Kong now=
 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.  HSBC has a strong branch network worldwide=
=2E  Eligible customers may not have to come to Hong Kong for account openin=
